Tony Werner appointed to Technetix main Board of Directors

September 4, 2024, Albourne, UK – Technetix is delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Werner to the company’s main Board, effective from September 4, 2024.

Tony has had a distinguished career of leadership roles in the broadband industry. He was formerly President of Technology, Product and Customer Xperience at Comcast, where he and his team developed several industry-leading and Emmy Award-winning products, including the X1 platform, the Voice Remote, and XFI. In 2016, Tony won a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award in honor of his distinguished career as a technologist, innovator and leader. He was also inducted in the Cable TV Hall of Fame, the Cable and Broadcasting Hall of Fame, and awarded the NCTA Vanguard award for Science and Technology. Previous executive roles include CTO of Comcast Cable, CTO of Liberty Global, CTO of TCI/AT&T Broadband, CEO of Aurora Networks and VP of Engineering at Rogers Communications.

Tony, who has been on Technetix’ Strategic Advisory Board since January 2023, holds Board positions at Liberty Global, Vantiva, MinIO, Krio, and Plume Design. His voluntary roles include directorships of the Syndeo Institute, the SCTE Foundation, and former President and Chairman of the SCTE Board of Directors and Chairman of the CableLabs TAC. Tony Werner holds numerous patents and earned his degree in Telecommunications from Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, MN.
