June 23, 2026 | Albourne, UK – Technetix has received two major industry awards for its innovative Mira fiber access solutions, further reinforcing its position as a leader in FTTx network technology.
The company was awarded Technological Innovation at the SCTE’s 81st Gala Dinner and Awards on June 20 for its Mira ORCA solution.
Mira ORCA is a quick-to-market bandwidth overlay solution that enables the transport of multi-gigabit services over existing infrastructure. Developed in response to operator demand for low-disruption migration paths from HFC to XGS-PON, ORCA addresses many of the chronic challenges associated with FTTH rollouts. These include restricted access to private properties, lengthy permissions processes, listed buildings, complex multi-dwelling unit (MDU) environments, and disruption to the public.
ORCA provides a more sustainable deployment approach by minimizing civil works, maximizing labor and equipment resources, and significantly reducing CapEx. The solution also enhances the customer experience and improves ROI by minimizing the risks associated with failed installations and project delays.
Ade Brittain, VP, Customer Insight and Product Innovation at Technetix, commented, “We are delighted to receive this recognition from SCTE. ORCA was developed to solve some of the most persistent challenges facing broadband operators as they transition to next-generation fiber networks. By enabling operators to leverage existing infrastructure, ORCA accelerates deployment, reduces disruption for customers and communities, and delivers a more sustainable and commercially attractive path to multi-gigabit services.”
In addition, Technetix was named Best Hardware Supplier at the UK Fibre Awards on June 4 for its Mira rOLT solution. The award recognizes organizations making significant contributions to the successful rollout and provision of fiber broadband across urban and rural areas of the UK.
The Mira rOLT is an IP68-rated, passively cooled, remotely deployable optical line terminal designed to address connectivity challenges in hard-to-reach and underserved locations.
Mark Basham, VP, Product Management – Fiber Access, added, “This is a fantastic achievement for Technetix. A highly talented, multi-disciplined team has been behind the remote OLT from its initial concept through to customer deployments, and we are honored to be recognized by our industry peers and industry commentators. We continue to advance our fiber network products to deliver best-in-class density, power efficiency, and flexibility, supporting the ongoing growth and evolution of fiber access networks.”
These awards highlight Technetix’ continued commitment to helping broadband operators deploy high-performance, future-ready networks more efficiently and sustainably through its expanding Mira portfolio of fiber access solutions.
