June 19, 2026, Albourne, West Sussex, UK – Technetix, a global leader in broadband access network solutions, today announced the appointment of Melissa Cogavin as a Non-Executive Consultant to its marketing team and a member of the Technetix Strategic Advisory Board.
Melissa Cogavin brings extensive experience across media, communications and industry engagement, with a background spanning global film distribution, trade journalism and strategic marketing consultancy. She currently serves as Managing Editor at UK SCTE (Society for Broadband Professionals), where she leads editorial direction, marketing communications, events and industry partnerships.
Prior to her work in the broadband sector, she held senior roles at Disney and Paramount Pictures, including Director of Film Operations, where she was responsible for international theatrical distribution across a ten-year period.
Melissa Cogavin is also recognized for her entrepreneurial leadership, having founded the Event Cinema Association in 2012 and helping establish the ‘Event Cinema’ category, creating a global platform for industry collaboration, conferences and content development.
As part of her role with Technetix, Melissa Cogavin will support the continuing evolution of the company’s global marketing strategy, brand positioning, and thought leadership initiatives. She will also contribute to the Strategic Advisory Board, providing guidance on industry engagement, communications and market visibility.
