Hernan Benavides Honored as Cable TV Pioneer 2026

Recognition celebrates outstanding contribution to broadband innovation

May 15, 2026, Denver, USA – Technetix is proud to announce that Hernan Benavides, Chief Technology Officer, Americas, is to be inducted into the Cable TV Pioneers Class of 2026. His entry into the organization will be officiated at the society’s 60th Annual Banquet in September, ahead of this year’s TechExpo.

The event brings leaders together to celebrate and recognize individuals for their exceptional contributions to the industry, and their influence on shaping the future of connectivity. Candidates are acknowledged for work that has driven innovation, growth, and transformation across broadband, media, and technology sectors.

Commenting on this distinguished achievement, Benavides says, “I am deeply honored and humbled to be inducted into the Cable TV Pioneers Class of 2026. This recognition is not just a personal milestone, but a tribute to the mentors who guided me, the colleagues who challenged me, and the collaborators who worked alongside me to build the infrastructure of today.”

Reflecting on his 32-year career, he goes on to add that, “It’s been a fascinating journey, and the last three years at Technetix have given me the opportunity to learn and experience a side of the industry that was completely new to me.” Benavides extended his acknowledgements directly to Technetix President and CEO, Paul Broadhurst, implying that their collaborative dynamic shows no sign of slowing down: “Thank you very much for all your support. I look forward to continuing our mission of pushing the boundaries of connectivity together.”

Hernan joined Technetix in 2023 as CTO, Latin Americas. Later in 2024, his remit expanded to cover the entire North, Central, and South regions with his appointment as CTO Americas. In just three years, his impact has been significant and far-reaching, not just throughout these territories but worldwide as well. Supporting Technetix customers with his deep technical expertise and strategic insight, Benavides is known for his relentless focus on network performance and innovation. Prior to Technetix, he built an accomplished career as CTO at VTR Chile and Liberty Latin America, where he developed extensive experience in broadband network operations and established himself as a highly respected industry leader.
