A triple win for Technetix in the Diamond Technology Reviews

October 5 2023, Englewood, USA – Technetix is proud to have been recognized among the best in the industry by the 2023 Broadband Technology Report’s Diamond Technology Reviews for the fourth year running. The XFO, 1.8 GHz faceplate legacy multitap upgrade was awarded the top honoree score of 5 diamonds, with the ASP-72 honored with 4.5 and Neuron X – AI Powered Networks with 4.0.

“On behalf of the Broadband Technology Report’s 2022 Diamond Technology Reviews, I would like to congratulate Technetix on their 5, 4.5 and 4.0 Diamonds honoree status,” said Broadband Technology Report’s Editorial Director, Sean Buckley. “This program recognizes and rewards the top products and solutions available to the broadband cable industry. We appreciate all entries we receive though not all were honored with 3.5 Diamonds or above.”

XFO | 1.8 GHz faceplate-only multitap upgrade (5 diamonds)
The XFO series – awarded 5 diamonds in BTR’s Cabling and Accessories category – is an easy faceplate-only swap for upgrading existing legacy 860 MHz, 1 GHz and 1.2 GHz multitaps to 1.8 GHz readiness without splicing in a new housing. This also eliminates signal outage and power shutdowns on coaxial lines during these 1.8 GHz upgrades. Fast plate change without resplicing housings allows installations to include a 1.8 GHz upgrade that only take a few more minutes of install time. This provides a ‘business as usual’ plate swap process using customer installers rather than network technicians, facilitating a network-wide upgrade in two to three years, significantly reducing costs and resource allocation. The XFO’s signature blue color allows easy identification of 1.8 GHz upgrades from the ground.

ASP-72 (4.5 diamonds)
Access Smart Powering (ASP) provides cable operators with a breakthrough opportunity to save energy expenditure on powering the hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) network. It also allows network upgrade without the need for installing additional mains power points, or the use of power-consuming equipment. Technetix ASP is 94% efficient, with a power factor of 1, compared to traditional controlled ferroresonance (CFR) of 83%, and 0.9 power factor. Losses in the cable are also lowered by up to 20% due to its DC powering, which not only reduces the number of mains power points required for network upgrades, but extends standby time between 10-20%. BTR have recognized our ASP-72 with 4.5 diamonds in their Cabling and Accessories category.

Neuron X – AI Powered Networks (4 diamonds)
Honored in BTR’s SDN/NFV/Cloud category, Neuron X aims to substantially reduce the complexity of access networks from a deployment, upgrade and on-going maintenance perspective. Machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) aligns and maintains the access network to ensure stability, reliability and performance to run at the highest possible level, enhancing customer experience; while at the same time eliminates the need for expensive and labor-intensive specialist end-to-end knowledge, reduces power consumption, saving operators significant costs.
