The Debrief: SCTE TechExpo 2026
Our team was in Atlanta, Georgia this fall for the SCTE TechExpo 2026 for three days of all things broadband. One of North America’s largest industry events, TechExpo brings the world’s operators, technology leaders, and innovators together.
The Technetix booth was action-packed with great networking, live demonstrations, and industry mingling.
For the second year in a row, our XFO series portfolio took center stage on our TechExpo 2026 stand. Keen to try a simulated installation, crowds gathered for our Fastest Faceplate Face-Off competition once again.
Our XFO multitap upgrade provides faster, more efficient network upgrade for DOCSIS 4.0. Its no-splice installation process takes just a few minutes. We clocked some impressive times, with the fastest competitor completing the challenge in a blistering 1 minute and 14 seconds.
Attendees were also able to explore our fiber portfolio. Live demonstrations of our Mira ORCA ONU were a hit among providers servicing MDUs. This ultra-low disruption, resource-light bandwidth overlay is an alternative to traditional FTTH deployment. Engineered to transition legacy networks to next-generation broadband services efficiently and cost-effectively, ORCA delivers multigigabit PON services over coax cable. For old, impractical buildings with unattractive ROI, ORCA uses existing cabling to provide overlooked subscribers with fiber-fast connectivity.
Our NeuronX platform also generated a lot of interest among visitors to our stand. This AI-empowered software leverages machine learning technology for centralized amplifier setup, network monitoring, and ongoing management. A key component of our evolving software portfolio, it reduces installation and maintenance complexities while supporting maximum network efficiency. The platform includes telemetry for real-time visibility of individual devices across entire amplifier estates.
While the team discussed cloud-based intelligence, our CEO Paul Broadhurst was in front of the camera for an on-screen interview. An event sponsor, Technetix was asked for exclusive content for Expo’s rich on-demand expert content library. Presenter, Amy Sweezy discussed network modernization with Paul, and asked questions about Technetix is responding to connectivity demands. Look out for the interview on the TechExpo webpage.
Away from the camera, Paul also took his seat as a panelist to discuss From Strand to Server: Building the Fiber Infrastructure for Converged, AI-Ready Networks. He was joined by fellow experts, Kristell Janusz (CTO, Astound Broadband) and Anish Kelkar (CRO, Render Networks) with moderation from Lightwave’s Editor-in-Chief, Sean Buckley.
The panel explored ways operators can balance deployment speed, cost efficiency, capacity, reliability, and network intelligence in combination with the growing role of fiber infrastructure, automation, and AI in network evolution.
Afterwards, our traditional on-stand drinks were served, with visitors stopp for a chat and network with other industry professionals at the show…

It was a fantastic few days in Atlanta, full of conversations, relationship-strengthening, and toasting another great SCTE TechExpo.
See you next year in Denver!
