Waste Reduction
We are committed to reducing our operational carbon footprint, closely monitoring our emissions, and have set science-based targets. Through employee engagement, energy-efficient investments, and transitioning to renewable energy, we’ve achieved a 37% reduction in our Scope 1 and 2 emissions between 2019 and 2023, and 33% of our total energy use is from renewable sources. Our carbon reduction plan is to:
- Increase the percentage of energy from renewable sources
- Continue to review energy and fuel-saving opportunities across our locations
- Reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46% by 2030 and measure and reduce Scope 3 emissions (1.5°C aligned science-based target)
- Set long-term and net zero targets
- Engage suppliers in monitoring their emissions and setting science-based targets
- Continue to improve the energy efficiency of our products
- Model and reduce the Lifecyle impact (LCA) of key products
As data demand rises, telcos must balance increasing bandwidth with reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Technetix helps mitigate broadband networks’ environmental impacts by offering innovative solutions that enhance energy and operational efficiency. Our products optimize access networks, cut power consumption, reduce truck rolls, streamline upgrades, and minimize waste—driving efficiency in new builds and extending existing networks’ life.

We actively engage our supply chain partners to enhance environmental responsibility across the value chain. Our Supplier Code of Conduct and adherence to ISO 14001 standards ensure environmental accountability, with new vendors assessed through our approval process. Using our supply chain due diligence platform, we further assess environmental protection in procurement. To further tackle upstream emissions, we commit to work with suppliers to set science-based targets, aiming for 50% adoption by end 2026, ensuring progress aligns with global climate goals.
At Technetix, we are committed to minimizing waste and promoting circularity.
Circularity: Recognizing the significant challenge of e-waste, we focus on product design for longevity, modularity, and repairability to extend lifecycles and reduce premature disposal. These efforts help address environmental concerns and support a circular economy within the broadband industry. We recycle 100% of our e-waste and offer takeback services for electronic equipment.
Packaging: We prioritize sustainable packaging that protects products while minimizing environmental impact. Our designs focus on recyclability, reduced volume, and eliminating single-use plastics (SUP). Since 2020, we’ve removed 30 metric tons of SUP from our supply chain. We continue to review our product range to eliminate plastics, aiming for a 90% reduction in SUP by 2030, while ensuring all packaging meets safety, handling, and recycling standards.
