Event Review: Connected Britain 2025
Another month, another exhibition! Last week, we hit Connected Britain, which returned to its usual venue at London’s ExCel. And what a show it was…
Connected Britain attracts an interesting mix of attendees. From public sector to Tier 1 operators, the show’s demographic is diverse, and they’re all hunting for the next big thing in connectivity. Our stand had a steady flow of visitors drawn in not just by our products, but by our competitions and vibrant design. (And, of course, our charismatic team.)
Conversations with delegates are always great at Connected Britain, but this year they were stand out. Full of traction and substance, every chat felt useful and full of insight. Existing customers explored new products and fresh faces discovered us for the first time.
Sticking firmly to our sustainability commitments, we reused stand elements from previous events. We refreshed these to include messaging and display areas aligned with 2025’s industry talking points. Our fresh, geographically relevant graphics set the scene for regional considerations for fiber operators today, such as:

⚫️ the issue of disruption and access complexities with fiber installation in residential areas. These issues segued well into a live demo of our Mira ORCA solution, a breakthrough option to finish optical digs at the perimeter of privately owned property by sending fiber-capacity connections over a building’s pre-existing cable system
⚫️ the conversations around network resilience and reliable backup powering. Our fully functioning portable LiFePO4 battery powered one of our FlexPON OLTs to show of its ultra-dense, uninterrupted power supply for uncompromised service.

⚫️ongoing reductions to equipment damage margins to keep CapEx as low as possible. Our universal R-Clip has proved itself something of a surprise hero! Visitors were astonished by how something so simple can completely revolutionize fiber installations. Developed to protect fiber cables during fitting processes, our universal clip design not only limits damage margins, it speeds up installations significantly.
But for another year running, our legendary underwater rOLT (remote Optical Line Terminal) stole the spotlight, literally stopping people in their tracks to look. And speaking of tracks, the Technetix Scalextric racetrack made a return for 2025’s event. Sending visitors into full pedal-to-the-metal mode, our racetrack set the scene perfectly to talk about how our rOLT can accelerate the UK’s rural fiber rollout…
Shows like Connected Britain are tough. Long hours, aching feet, voices fading faster than a cheap Bluetooth speaker. But they’re worth it. Each one is a chance to grow our name and tailor how we show up. A lot of time and effort goes into bringing our exhibitions to life: they don’t just happen. As for the next event, we’re looking forward to Network X in Paris next month.
See you there?
