The Debrief: ANGA COM 2025

Team Technetix were in Cologne, Germany last week for one of the industry’s most anticipated events, ANGA COM. This year’s show was made that little bit more special by our on-stand celebrations to mark Technetix’ 35th anniversary. With folks from sales, product management, marketing, operations and members of the executive team representing, ANGA COM delivered a jam-packed three days of networking, product reveals, and expert presentations.

Team Technetix ready to go. ANGA COM took place June 3 – 5 this year

Spotlight on innovation

Over the years, ANGA COM has been an ideal platform to schedule product and solution launches. 2025’s event was no exception. True to our almost-four-decade-long reputation for innovating marketing-leading technology, we were delighted to spotlight some of our latest fiber and powering developments.

We were delighted with our turntable display, giving center stage to our next-level powering portfolio. Using lithium iron phosphate technology in place of traditional lead-acid and gas, our LiFePO4 generators and batteries offer customers cleaner, safer, and denser alternatives to standby and backup network powering.

Co-starring at the show was our next-generation Mira fiber solutions series, offering futureproof PON in-home GPON and XGS-PON ONUs for ultra-fast subscriber connections. To provide a bit of context, our Mira exhibit was setup in our mock living room – complete with our working Scalextric track…

Visitors to our stand were invited to take part in our prize draw by putting their racing skills to the test.

Meanwhile on the speaker podium, Technetix CTO Engineer, Chris Beem took to the stage to share insights into the evolution of HFC networks. Presenting his work around neural networks, Chris joined the panel for the ‘DOCSIS: New Developments’ session for vital discussions about how AI principles can be applied to HFC networks.

Reflecting on a 35-year journey

Beyond the product launches and live demonstrations, ANGA also became the backdrop to mark Technetix’ extraordinary 35-year legacy.

Attendees were invited to join our team for canapés and drinks on the afternoons of Tuesday and Wednesday. It was great seeing reconnecting with familiar faces over a glass of fizz, and meeting many new ones also.

Technetix Founder, CEO, and Principal, Paul Broadhurst, kicked off the celebrations with a heartfelt speech reflecting on how far Technetix has come over the decades – and where we’re headed next.

Other highlights from the show…

One of the most eye-catching parts of our stand was our sustainability highlights area, a living X-shaped wall featuring key takeaways from our latest sustainability report. These included meeting our Scope 1 and 2 emissions reduction targets six years ahead of our 2030 deadline, and the removal of 35 tons of single use plastics from our packaging since beginning data collection in 2020.

More dramatically, special forces in Cologne issued an evacuation order when three WW2 UXBs were found. Thankfully, the discovery only triggered the evacuation of 22,000 people in an area nearby. Outside of the closure zone, the event center remained open continuing business as usual in the Koelnmesse – however, with the closure of our hotel for 12 hours, the evacuation doesn’t quite make it onto our list of highlights from the week! Thanks to the brilliant explosives disposal service for keeping everyone safe.

Looking ahead

A big thank you to all our customers and partners for making ANGA COM 2025 our best one yet. Don’t forget to save the date for next year: ANGA ’26 is happening May 19–21. Hope to see you there!
